A's mom made us some delicious duk guk today. This is a must have (rice cake soup) dish traditionally eaten on New Year's Day. Along with that, she also made a fresh batch of kimchi, (my favorite type), and gave us a huge jar to take back home with us. Aaah, there's nothing like a mother's home cooking, right?
Happy New Year!!! Duk Guk is absolutely perfect for this weather. I had some myself on NYE ... yes.. nothing like home cooking and food made from love ^_^

I've never had Duk Guk yet, but it sounds delicious. I'm hoping that my mother in law will make it one of these days or maybe next New Year's Day. Kim Chi is always good any day especially the homemade kind.
