Unboxing my Midori Traveler's Notebook

During my summer trip to New York, I came across this wonderful Japanese bookstore called Kinokuniya. Downstairs in the back of their stationery section is where I came across the Midori Traveler's Notebook, which had been on my wish list for quite awhile now.

Being that I'm not really keen on ordering things online, this was a perfect opportunity for me to get a real feel for the leather journal. And of course, as soon as I touched it, I loved it. I loved it so much, I bought both sizes (in the same brown color), the regular, which measures at approximately 5.1in x 8.6, and the passport style, which measures at approximately 3.5in x 5.3in.

Included in the box: The Midori Traveler's Notebook leather cover (regular size pictured), a cotton case for the notebook, a spare orange elastic band, and blank notebook refill (No. 003)

And of course I had to pick out some accessories to go with it: a small brown pen holder, a pocket folder insert, a clear zippered pocket, and some notebook paper refills.

Now although I enjoy writing out daily tasks and making lists in my daily planner, I wanted something different and separate for just random thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. So these notebooks were perfect for what I was looking for, an everyday sketch/ art journal.

For those that follow me on Instagram, @seaweedkisses, you'll see that I've already started to use it here and here.

  5. Too pretty to use! Sometimes find it hard to detach myself from using new notebooks/pads/sketchbooks. But I can't wait to see what you put in it.
