Journaling

In the past few months, I've been scribbling away in my Midori Traveler's Notebook. There have been times where it would sit on top of my desk staring back me, but I've tried to make time for it here and there. Every time I use it it brings back happy memories of my New York trip last summer and that awesome Japanese bookstore where I had purchased all of my Midori stationery. I remember the miles I walked from my hotel determined to get my hands on it, and now I can honestly say it was worth it.

The leather cover, as it's real, just keeps getting better and better with every little scratch and touch. It has such a nice smooth feel and smell to it.

I've already started to personalize it with some charms, pockets, folders, and this handy free insert calender I came across.

  1. I've bought a Midori journal, October of last year but I have yet to write anything on it. I know I shouldn't let it get to me but I feel that there's nothing worth putting down on paper yet. I have a mind to start personalizing it but I buckle under the pressure of making it look pretty as others :/ Reading your post reminded me of how I similarly had the determination to get a Midori and since it's a long weekend here (Chinese New Year festivities) I might take a crack at writing something down.

    1. That's how I felt when I first purchased mine too. It was so new, I didn't want to "mess it up." But I slowly started using it by writing thoughts down here and there, and eventually I just got comfortable with it. Once you start using, you'll love it and want to take it everywhere with you....at least, I do anyway. ;)

    1. Thank you, Farrah! Yes, it is a nice journal with a little more of a price to it. I was a little hesitant to get it at first, but after months of indecisiveness, I realized that I would get lots of use out of it.

    1. It took me awhile to stay committed to them, but in the end, I realized it was more of a necessity for me as I can't keep my thoughts together. ;)

Thank you so much for tagging me!

  6. I so want a midori, but not sure what I would like to do with it! I would love to journal, but I feel like all I do is study. Some days can also be very lazy!

    1. Yes, studying is more important. I think you would enjoy the Midori, though. You could sketch in it, do journaling pieces, stick in fun snail mail that you've received- I do that as well.
