One of my (important) goals for 2016 is to do more with less. Do more with my life without needing the extra "stuff" that I once thought was needed to achieve the highest feeling of fulfillment & happiness.
In order to make sure I commit to this promise I made to myself, each week I'm going through my belongings and seeing what can be sold, donated, or thrown out. The goal is to have the least amount of unnecessary stuff in order to move into a smaller home.
I plan on downsizing my living space within 6 months, thus cutting down the monthly rent.
With the rent cost cut down, this will leave me with more dollars in the pocket.
With more dollars in the pocket, I can save more money to do more of what I love.
Things that I love to do and want to do more of is:
- traveling
- discovering new & fun experiences/activities
- developing new and closer relationships
- connecting more with like-minded people
- exploring more of what the world has to offer
- blogging
- helping & supporting others in the best way that I can
and the list goes on...
At this particular point in my life, I've come to realize that more time (and freedom) to follow my life passion is my #1 priority. The fancy clothes, newer car, "important" job title, social status, etc., means nothing to me now, and I'm happy to let it all go to service my own life purpose and path while helping others achieve the same thing somehow along the way.
I recently came across an amazing personality test that help shed some more light on how I can go about achieving this, and I'm relieved to know that this path I've decided to commit to is not just a "phase." Turns out I'm finally discovering and unveiling the person I'm meant to become, and without shame.
