After years of traveling and packing fails, I'm proud to say that I've found my ideal carry-on setup. Because there's nothing worse than bringing too much stuff (and carrying around all that extra weight), or not bringing enough stuff (and risk needing something at that overpriced airport gift shop), this setup fits perfectly in the middle for most of my travel needs.
Other than my wallet and up-to-date passport, I make sure to never, and I mean
never, forget the following items when packing my travel bag:
- portable phone charger
- scarf/shawl
- backup outfit (with socks and undergarments)
- camera
- snacks
- journal
- a good book
- toiletry kit
- headphones
- neck pillow
For more in-depth details and how I pack my travel bag, see my carry-on video
here.
I have not yet mastered the art of carry on packing, although my last trip to LA was actually pretty close! I always like to have a book, a notebook, music, headphones, a charger, and water. The tiny Fjallraven Kanken is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI have a fallraven kanken mini myself in the beautifull colour of sky blue,
ReplyDeleteAnd it is a great travel bag, I am every time amazed what fits in it
