Okay, so where to start?
Well, first off, I've moved! Tucson, Arizona is no longer home. It is now San Jose, California, and I'm loving every single moment of it.
That's the main reason for my absence, really. Having just moved to this new area, it's been so much fun exploring the city and its surroundings.
Of course with any new move, comes new opportunities. I've been so grateful for new opportunities that have been presented and thankful for the wonderful people I've met thus far.
I'm not going to lie, though. My wallet has been working overtime these past few months. With all these beautiful stores and stationery goods that weren't accessible in Tucson, I definitely created a few new holes in the pocket. I can confidently say that the Maido and Kinokuniya employees know me by now. Shopping there has become part of the weekly routine.
Another great benefit of living in San Jose is that it's only a 40 minute drive to San Francisco. That's so cool! Never have I imagined that I would be able to move so close to a major city such as that one. Every time I visit San Francisco I feel so grateful and fortunate for these moments in life, that's for sure.
For those that have stuck around the blog thus far, thank you. Quite a few of you have emailed asking if everything was okay and if I plan on blogging again. I appreciate the concern, and I apologize for the long absence. Too be honest, I haven't completely disappeared. I've just been a little more active on Instagram (@seaweedkisses) and the Seaweed Kisses YouTube channel.
Oh! Also, my computer crashed a few months back. That was another reason for the lack of blog posts. I was so sad to lose all of the precious video footage and vacation pictures saved with my files. Actually, more like devastated! But I learned a valuable lesson from that experience- back everything up! Like a fool, I procrastinated on backing up all of my documents and videos, and then, bam! The Blue Screen of Death got me. Within those files I had photos from my visit to the T.I.ME Traveler's Notebook store in Korea. While I posted a video clip of it here, I also had some up-close photos that I know you would've enjoyed... But all I can say is that it was a hard lesson learned. Either back everything up right away, or blog and upload the content right away.
But anyway, I'm back! One of my goals for 2018 is to get back into blogging and to continue connecting with my valued readers...if anyone still visits me here.
So, although this is long overdue, I'm wishing you a Happy 2018 New Year! Please do stick around. I got some more posts coming your way.
P.S. For my international friends, curious to know what a Michaels Craft Store looks like? Care to see the one place I could spend hours in? Well, look no further. I shared a video of my recent visit here. Let me know what you think. If you're ever in the United States, you'll definitely need some alone time to go through these store aisles bit by bit. There's just so much to see!
P.S.S. Also, if you've ever found my posts or video helpful in anyway, or inspiring, please let me know! Every bit of support and encouragement helps keep this blog (and my motivation) to carry on!
Glad to see you back on the blogosphere Michelle! And have fun in your new place :D
